o According to his League of Women’s Voters candidate questionnaire, when asked what were the two most important issue facing the commonwealth, Josh Hicks replied, “Two of the most critical issues facing Kentuckians are the rising cost of healthcare and the opioid epidemic. In Congress, I would advocate for safeguards to make sure that health insurance plans are fair and cover the treatment people need. I would advocate for a Medicare buy-in public option so that coverage is affordable for everyone, and I would advocate for allowing Medicare to negotiate like every other organization in the world so we can lower prescription drug prices.”[1]
